The second round of the Manaaki Fund is now available for our ākonga.
The application process is going to be different than the first time around.
To ensure this fund meets the needs of our underserved ākonga, ākonga will need to book an appointment to discuss their funding needs with our Student Success Team or our Te Punaka Ōwheo team.
Ākonga can book an appointment here.
They need to select the 'Manaaki Fund support' option (15 mins).
If they want support with this process or have any questions, they need to email studentsuccessdn@op.ac.nz or freephone 0800 762 786. Likewise, if you as kaimahi have any questions about this, please just email studentsuccessdn@op.ac.nz.
Other support options
- If ākonga identify as Māori, they can reach out to our Te Punaka Ōwheo team (Māori Student Support Centre). Email tepunakaowheo@op.ac.nz or call 0800 762 786.
- If ākonga identify as Pasifika, they can reach out to our Pasifika Support staff. Email pasifika@op.ac.nz or call 0800 762 786.
- If ākonga are registered with our Accessibility team (as needing to receive accessibility support), they can reach out to our staff by emailing Accessibility@op.ac.nz or call 0800 762 786.
(Note: If they would like to meet to discuss their Accessibility needs with an Accessibility staff member, they also need to email Accessibility@op.ac.nz or book an appointment here.)
The options above are just for those ākonga who may need support to move into applying for this fund.
If they don’t need this kind of support, they can simply book a Manaaki Fund support meeting to discuss their needs.
