During the design phase, Programme Teaching Teams will be facilitated through a process that centres on the learner and the skills, concepts, and experiences that the program will include to enable the meeting of the graduate profile outcomes and, for sub-degrees, the NZQA qualification.

The design phase is made up of  a number of workshops that focus on the design of the program as a whole and then to design of individual courses within the programme.

During the course workshops program teaching teams will examine the diverse learning activities and assessments that build learners capability of the designed course learning outcomes.
