CERTIFICATE

Health Bridging Certificate (Level 4 only)

This Level 4 programme is the second part of our health bridging pathway for those that don't yet meet the entry requirements for our diploma- or degree-level health programmes. To enter directly into Level 4, you need to hold a New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation (Level 3) (our Level 3 Health Bridging certificate), or equivalent.

DIPLOMA

New Zealand Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (Level 5)

  • Dunedin
  • Eighteen months full-time
  • Level 5
  • Starts February

Enrolled Nurses deliver nursing care and health education across a range of health care settings under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Prepare to apply for registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand (NCNZ) as an Enrolled Nurse through this diploma. Time spent in our clinical practice facility and on clinical placement will give you vital hands-on experience and allow you to put your theory into practice. Plus, this programme is free for domestic students due to the Government's Targeted Training and Apprenticeship Fund (TTAF) (although you'll need to pay for any additional course-related and living costs).

DEGREE

Bachelor of Nursing

Become educated to the highest professional standards through both theoretical and practical learning. On successful completion of the Bachelor of Nursing, you will be eligible to sit the State Final Examination for registration as a Registered Nurse in New Zealand.

COURSES FOR REGISTERED NURSES

Competency Assessment Programme (CAP) for New Zealand Registered Nurses

  • Dunedin
  • Five-eight weeks, full-time
  • Starts May, August and October 2021
  • Apply until two weeks before start date

Complete this theoretical and applied Certificate in Professional Practice for Registered Nurses and obtain a current Annual Practising Certificate. Acquire the most up-to-date skills and knowledge required to be part of a healthcare team in New Zealand.
